April asked if we could put up a flagpole at the beginning of their lot that Joe had bought earlier.
We all know how road construction works so everyone stood around watching and making sure Bill was digging the hole correctly for the flagpole.
Cracch said he knew a better way to dig the hole so he took over
All of that supervision of digging the hole got everyone tired so we decided to take a break.
Break's over, so Bill was told that more water was needed to pour into the hole for the cement.
At this point we all thought that the hole was dug correctly and the cementing of the lower post into the ground was correct, so we had to ask our supervisor, Kendall to verify the work. A few changes had to be made but he finally approved it.
Kendall had to give Cracch a little more instruction on the proper way to dig a hole.
Whenever you put up a flagpole you always have to reenact the flag at Iwo Jima.
Finally it was complete so we all stood around patting ourselves on the back.
Everyone helped a little in digging the hole but Tony, Frank and Kendall were the ones who made sure the cement for the hole was applied correctly and that the bottom of the flagpole was in the exact position to make it level. Bill, Jessie and Cracch also made a run because we needed more cement. We all had a great time!
On our final evening the guys went out to another restaurant suggested by April. The owner, who is dressed in black in the middle, is a hunter. Everything on the wall belongs to him plus plenty of others on the other walls. He usually goes to Africa to hunt. I don't know anybody's names but the waitress on the left was very nice and friendly plus she asked the owner if we could have a 10% discount. So we were indebted to her. The food was great! The girls went on their own way that evening so we were clueless as to where they were.
